Thanks also for the videos. I love whenever videos are posted to the site! I heartily agree with you that the Piaget rubber strap coupled with the curvature of the crystal create this amazingly comfortable, close-fitting strap experience. I enjoyed putting the watch on my wrist. I also think the 45mm case is not as intimidating on the wrist as it is in print. I thought the watch was super comfortable and the construction was solid --really top-notch. Where the watch loses me is in the dial. I love the color combo, which I think is young, fresh, and sporty, but I question the choice of dauphin hands for this watch. I think they are a little too staid for the message this watch is conveying via the dial as a whole. I'm nit-picking with that comment, perhaps, so I apologize.
The one thing I cannot abide, and this is not specific just to this model, as I've written on this matter many times before, is the 3-day date display. Why do I need to know yesterday's date, as well as today's and tomorrow's? This mode of date display makes absolutely no sense to me, and serves to further clutter up an already text/information intensive dial. I do love the small seconds display on this watch, and I like the hour indices as well. IMO there is just too much happening for me stylistically, between the decorative motifs on the strap, the pushers, the crown, and the text heavy dial. For my purposes, I prefer the Piaget Polo 45 automatic, but frankly I could never pull the trigger on that model either, because again it has the undesirable (IMO only, naturally) date display.
Still, having said this, I like where Piaget is headed with this design. I'm hoping great things for them, as I do love much of the Piaget sensibility.
Thanks for taking the time on this review. I learned a lot, and your pictures and vids are fantastic.
Cheers,
Daos
