As posted on another thread on this forum, the RUMOUR of a USA re-call is FALSE.
As with F1 Grand Prix cars, continual improvements are introduced after each race during the season.
Since the USA was the first region to receive the Polo FortyFive watches, they have produced feedback that the deployant clasp was a little easy to undo. The clasps were re-designed and refined and later versions are nearing perfection. The 1st generation clasps work fine but some people like a more distinct "click" of the mechanism. It's a bit like some car manufactures "tuning" the sound of their doors shutting with a "clunk".
They are still doors, doing their job whether they clunk or thud but some people like the clunk.........
So, if you can buy one at an official Piaget outlet, you have the latest clasp version. Anyway, you can ask: "Is this the latest version?" The watches are the same.
Unfortunately, still the rubber straps need cutting to custom fit.
