Very nice

I've owned two in Gen. 2, with black and white dials.  I enjoyed them both, had no problems at all, and loved the steel bracelets.

I thought of them as intermediate in size between the 39 mm ROC and the 42 mm Offshore.

Neither remains with me, mostly because my wife didn't like the shininess of the white dial and I couldn't see the texture of the black dial well enough, and partly because I was always annoyed by the serif font of the date wheel, thought the case was too thick to achieve elegance, and had too many chronographs with the same movement.

The Gen. 3 eliminates all of these issues except the thickness, and the blue dial Gen. 3 remains on my wish list.

I've never had to have a VC serviced, but have met quite a few people from VC North America and found their customer service at the highest level.

You'll get many years of serious use from this one, and I, too, recommend the bracelet.

Anyone have any experience with Vacheron Constantine Overseas Chrono's?

I've just picked up a LNIB 9month old VC Overseas Chrono 49150/000A-9745 (old style big date) on leather. It's my first venture into the brand and having traded a sub and a Cartier with a small top up I'm looking at it becoming a daily wear. It will form ...

Congrats on your first VC!

Since you traded a Sub to get it I recommend that you eventually get the stainless steel bracelet to give you a new and useful look. Bill

Robust watches

I've owned both Gen I and II chronos and found them highly robust. The OS design has progressed more towards dressy with each iteration but the DNA remains as a steel sports watch. I'd get both the rubber strap and steel bracelet asap to complete its vers...

and 12.45 mm thick. It grew only slightly with perpetual calendar module, to 12.8 mm. Gen III is officially 42.5 mm, with thickness increased to 13.7 mm due to the 2-piece bezel. There is no QP chrono offered with the new Overseas yet, but calendar-only O...

The honeymoon period is very much on and I have to say I\'m loving the leather strap. The bracelet no doubt looks great but there is a bracelet theme in the collection and well it\'s nice to be a little different. The VC will almost certainly be a daily w...

Nice collection.

It has a coherent look except for the one on the lower right. Is that yours? My watches don't have a coherent theme.

I've finally made it on
