usually doesn't fit well with my wrist, so if there's a choice I always prefer a double deployant.

It does extend the leather straps economic life.

What is your go-to? I don't usually love them, but it is nice for making straps last longer...

I stick with OEM hardware and don't object to deployants where it's an option and feels comfortable.

Lately though I've switched a couple deployants to pin buckles. Great point about strap life.

Main problem I find with them is that they can be thick, which makes them weird to use when typing, which is annoying for me given im by my computer most of the day.

Early on I got deployant for my my JLC and IWC. They were single fold and to be honest I didn't like them, so got the oem pin buckle. My VC came with a double fold deployant much more comfortable. At this point I'd go double fold or pin buckle, but happy ...
