I was sure you will get one and I was also sure you would go for G at the end. Next time I should bet on it. My crystalball worked well :-) Looking forward to see it, one day. Cordially, Oliver

Thank you Oliver !! How the heck did you know...

That's a beautiful watch. (Would love to see the movement if you have time.) Enjoy it in the best of health. CaliforniaJed

Thank you CaliforniaJed!! The movement is actually...

... the same as the 5153 regular reference. Just the dial and engraving on the cover are different. Cheers, Gordon

Congrats Gordon!

Both pieces look great! I'm not certain which one I would've chosen for myself if I were in your shoes. A difficult decision. Hey, thanks for sharing the and for posting the Beijing event on PuristSPro. And I'm still thinking about that Chien Men 23 video...

Thank you Patrick !!

Why is it also difficult for you to choose between J and G ?? Cheers, Gordon

Cufflinks...

This watch is a bit of a formal watch for me. Meaning I'll probably wear it with a nice shirt and possibly cufflinks. I have around a dozen pairs of cufflinks, but many of them are in yellow gold. Ironically, I'm only using the ones in white metals almost...

thanks Patrick for your detailed explanation...my recommendation is to...

...get the Montblanc 90th anniversary Meisterstuck rose gold fountain pen to diversify your pen collection. Make sense ??

Thanks Nico!! This piece uses the same movement as the regular 5153 which...

...has the date function So I think Patek did not think about replacing the movement unfortunately See you in HK next week Cheers Gordon

You can always have the freedom to not use the date, when a movement has one.

But thanks for your information! And yes, see you very soon, now! All the best, Nicolas

Congrats Gordon!

Many congrats Gordon - very classy!

Thank you H !! One key reason why I chose the white gold is that...

...the contrast between the white metal case and the black numerals makes the overall dial stands out more. Cheers, Gordon

Congrats

Really nice edition, I wish Patek will offer this kind of dial in the current production. Enjoy. Best, Stan

Thank you Stan !!

Yes, regular production of simple and elegant dials with black Brequet numerals would be nice. Cheers, Gordon

Congrats and another rare watch in your impressive collection my friend! Love the dial and its Breguet numerals. The 3D effect must be nice esp in the metal (I think it's hard to photograph such details) Very happy for you! May your new 5153 Beijing editi...

Thanks Robin for your kind words !!

The 3D effect can be seen when the dial is viewed at an angle while the watch is tilted. Unfortunately my photography skills and lack of proper equipment prevented me from capturing this perspective. Time for me to get a proper camera!! Cheers, Gordon

Beautiful choice

Hi tic-toc - great suggest for the PP4860G !!

The 4860 and 5153 do match very well and they make a great pair!! I shall refrain from showing your post to the MRS due to budgetary control reasons. A few months ago, the MRS received a PP 7200R which has Brequet numerals, similar to the 5153. From my pe...

Your 5153G looks so classic and timeless . You are so lucky. It's beginning to grow on me ! The Breguet numbers and the clean white dial. Perfect.

Thank you akitaishi !! According to the Maison manager, brequet numerals

 By: GLau : July 17th, 2014-08:18
...do not appear too often in Patek These brequet numerals to me really make the dial looks classy and elegant !! Cheers, Gordon
